My photoshoot went really well and I was able to gather a lot of successful images !! I was very hard to choose my best/favourite 4 as they were all my favourite !! In the end I had to take into consideration the elements shown and the level of detail in order to choose the best 4. The positives of this shoot are that a lot the shadows came out quite sharp which is what I was hoping for and those that didn’t come out as sharp I was able to develop on PIXLR. This is my best image out of my photoshoot and this is because it represents shadow impeccably and turned out exactly the way I was hoping for it to turn out, something that I really like about this image too is that there is a slightly faded shadow around the darker main shadow which I think really added to the affect and made look more detailed and intriguing. not only does it look appealing and include a lot of the 7 elements, this photograph also holds a very special and memorable moment behind it.

Maurizio Anzeri is an Italian contemporary artist living and working in London. He works in a variety of media including sculpture, photography, drawing and traditional craft techniques. Anzeri was born on the 8th of April 1969 in Italy. Maurizio Anzeri intricately embroiders directly onto found photographs with coloured thread, in “an alchemic process of obscuring and revealing, erasing and enhancing.” The faces of serious-looking children, sophisticated adults, and prim newlyweds are obscured by intricate threadwork masks, while leaving their eyes exposed. Maurizio Anzeri makes his portraits by sewing directly into found vintage photographs. His embroidered patterns garnish the figures like elaborate costumes, but also suggest a psychological aura, as if revealing the person's thoughts or feelings. |
"I put tracing paper over the photo and draw on the face until it develops. When I begin the stitching something else happens, drawing will never do what thread will."
